A Rare Red Scale Masons Ironstone Custard Cups and Saucer 1890

From a lifelong collection of Mason’s Ironstone. A Coffee cup, circa 1890, made in the shape of early 19th-century custard cups. Quite difficult to find with saucers, as people collected them as custard cups without the saucers.

Made in the late 1890s, they were designed as a coffee cup, but had flaws with heat and the handle, so not huge amounts were made. This has led to them being very hard to find, and people collecting.

This is in  a red scale pattern pattern with a chinoiserie pattern
