An enormous pair of Copeland Spode Jardineres 1860
A rather rare pair of Jardinieres . This pair of enormous pots are made by Copeland Spode Curca 1850 . Each has three lions heads at the top. Decorated with numerous Spode patterns and borders .
Then in high relief are fig leaves and fig fruits . Possibly these were for a pair of fig trees.
Both have rivets , as they have some cracking at the their bases . They have been to a restorer who has stabilised the cracks with glue so they are now solid. They display very well and this is one of the reasons that they have not been overly restored .
Am an amazing and imposing pair of pots .
